ok,so is everyone geared up for our lunch time concert on thurs??? :) i hope you are yea :) PLS PLS PLS go and practice with the youtube video!!!! PRACTICE WITH DYNAMICS AND DETAILS!! its really impt that we make this a very awesome performance! :) its the last singing performance tt you juniors are gonna have with the seniors. :( yea....so i only have like one request....pls make this a memorable singing experience for the seniors ok???? cooperate with us on thurs alright :)
now here are some things to take note for the lunch time concert this thursday (29/3):
- No freid food and chilli from today!!! yes....today!!!
- just bring yell and hear the music scores :) dont need to bring the whole file
-bring your heels this thursday.don worry,we are not gonna wear it for the lunch time concert.just need to hand it up to the com :)
-there is REAUDITION on thurs for those who didnt audition or failed it.
now for some pointers! :) for yell and hear the music....

-basics!!!!!! (esp DYNAMICS!!!!!)
-Tell the story!
-when you reach the high notes,sing with support!!! dont scream :x
-listen out to one another !

Bonjour people!! :) janice here ☺
Today's practice was pretty epic..if you know what i mean..ok,so i hope you guys enjoyed today's practice :) we went through the song till part A2 .pls go back and revise.if you think you can get away with it,you're wrong.as i said,if you dont practice,you are going to find yourself v lost.rmb the video?? that is our goal! :) so aim for it! ^^ take note of counting ,entry pts and pitching etc etc etc etc.listen out to one another! :)
to emphasise again,EVERY SECTION IS IMPT! doesnt mean that you are not taking the melody means that its none of your business and you are not impt.CHANGE THAT PESPECTIVE NOW. every section is impt,WE ARE A CHOIR.with one section less,we will sound different. you cant change the section you are in now (well,at least for these 6 mths),you can only change your thoughts. :) sing every part with joy .
BASICS PPL!! i want everyone to take note of this ok.we taught it to you guys already.INITIATIVE! i dont understand why i have to keep reminding you when you shld already now all this??!
DISCIPLINE!! there is really no need for us to shout at you.seriously speaking,we dont like to scold you guys.you all have to know when is the right time to talk and play.and pls dont use your handphones! i dont want to see syafiqah , murni or any of the committee call out any names after each session.it just shows that you guys have poor discipline. pls work on that.this is team effort.everyone has to work tgt,it just takes one person to spoil it.i say again...pls take note of your behaviour.do the right thing at the right time!

hello choir! ^^ janice here :) haven posted for a really long time...
ok,so today's practice was ok,leant a new song today :D
**must practice ok... :) so that you will be sure of your parts and we dont have to repeat what we have done for the last practice.and sing louder.! dont hide behind other ppl's voice.BE DARING AND BRAVE TO SING OUT! ITS OK TO MAKE MISTAKES.WE MAKE MISTAKES IN ORDER TO LEARN :) i got to listen out to you guys really hard cos i really cant hear you guys during sectionals and mass singing.it should not be the case ok.dont torture my ears :(
THE SEC 1s ARE COMING ON MONDAY! ^^ im excited for it :) the recruitment this yr is great! 16 ppl,14 girls and 2 boys! :) yay ^^ guess we impressed them :)
so do make the sec 1s feel welcomed...make them feel that they have choosen the right cca.maintain high standards of discipline ok,dont make us scream and remind you all these basic things...you dont want to leave a bad impression for the sec 1s right? do not use your phone and dont talk uneccessarily.be friendly but dont over do it...dont scare them away ;)
***Sec 3s and 4NA: you guys are in charge of the games. :) rmb,ONLY 20 MINS FOR EACH GROUP!!!!! PLS MANAGE YOUR TIME WELL. :)

hello choir! :) janice here ^^ so im here to give a general review on the practice on mon (24/10) and thurs (27/10).
so on mon,we had to retake the video for the performance at hk.as what mr wong said,you guys are v inconsistent. if you guys cannot even perform in front of a camera -_-"....then how are you going to perform in front of a huge crowd of ppl for the concert and at hk??so, i hope to c more improvement from all of you.don get affected by your surrounding.focus on our priority and put in our very best. :)
the altos also had sectionals on the wind.im sure you guys know where the problem lies within this section right...you guys need to improve on your airy voice.i know it is not easy.but it has to be done.use your diaphragm ,not your throat.this goes out to everyone!!
********i cannot emphasise more on THE BASICS!
pls also have discipline during mass sing and sectionals ok?? rmb, light up the performance!!! :)
practice aka tonbo and the other songs we have learnt too.lets all work tgt and put up an awesome performance! :) ♫ ♪

hello hello choir! :) its me JANICE! :) yay! ^^ for today's practice (22/8/2011)
overall:good job!:) i can c improvement in the pitching of notes.you guys were more sure.but pls sing louder! so,i tried to identify your problems today according to sections :)

-->sop 1:notes and pitching are generally ok.but sing out! i cant really hear you guys! :(
-->sop 2:cant really hear you guys! :( do not b afraid to sing out.you can only know your mistakes when you SING OUT!
-->Altos:generally can be heard .but you guys are not sure of your notes at some parts.like your pitching from bar 23 ,at the chorus.you guys CANNOT get influenced by the sops.FOCUS!listen out to another and have discipline to get the right pitching.i dont 1 to c you guys going back to square one.IMPROVE!NOT REPEAT!
***everyone is out of tune at bar 30-bar 58! pls take note!
***the last part is quite messy .v disorganised.pls take note when you are suppose to come in.ENTRY POINTS!and when to sing bar 70.

***this song is v choral.there are many chords requiring lots of harmony.so,pls take note of BLENDING! make sure we blend at every note :) hopefully,we can create an overtone.
choir,these two songs will be sung at the end of year concert.im sure you guys cant be just satisfied with our performance now right?im sure you guys want to improve and show to others our amazing singing right? the committee can only do this much,to guide and assist you guys when you need our help.conduct sectionals to refresh your memory,to emphasise on impt details.but the rest is up to YOU.the committe is not the one standing on stage at the concert to sing for you guys.ITS THE ENTIRE CHOIR.we can do this ok :) we can make a difference.we did so in syf this year already by breaking the bronze trend and getting our long-awaited silver.so we can do it again ,even at hk.but more effort is needed.we want to get a gold right?so work towards it.it is a blessing to be part of your passion,singing. ♥ ♥ ♫ ♪ so make every opportunity count ☺
so yeah,practice ok :) dont let mr wong repeat the same thing when we have taught you guys today.

hello hello choir! :) janice here :)
well,as you can see ...attendence is not v good for the past few practices yeah?...pls pls ask your friends to come for choir...they will be missing out on a lot of fun ....
pls practice may it be...we are going to revise tt on mon...i really need you guys to cooperate and sing louder and correctly...with techique..i dont wish to see ppl slacking bcos syf is over.dont forget...we still have the year-end concert and hong kong trip at the end of this year right? at least maintain the silver standard and not drop.remember...we have done it before...we attained a silver in syf...and we CAN definitely do it again.
choir,pls ask if you are unsure of your parts and sing out.we are not mind-readers so DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK :) we are a family :D
