Hello hello hello!
If i'm not wrong, we'll be performing on the 12th of feb,
which means that we're left with 3 more practices to go.
Until now, a lot of us are still unfamiliar with the songs we're gonna sing.
So, over the weekends,
please listen to the 2 songs and familiarise yourself with it.

If you've realised, during choir practice, most of our time is spent on warm ups.
Warm ups are important as it helps to build up our singing techniques.
As we've got little time left to work on the 2 CNY songs,
it'll be your responsibility to listen and learn the songs at home.
There will most probably be sectionals this coming friday, 5th of feb.
So please make yourself available on that day (:
Attendance will be taken for the friday sectionals.
The sec 1s will also be joining us
on Monday at 4.15pm :D :D :D
So do make good use of the 45 mins before they come.
Take note of your standing posture, facial expression,
breathing technique, enunciation and diaphragm work during the vocal warm ups.
All of you are already seniors,
so it is up to you guys to guide the newcomers along!
Dont talk unnecessarily and ALWAYS respect the speaker in front!
Lastly, practice on Monday starts at 3.30pm.

updates!!!
let's summarise what we have learnt so far and lock them up in our cpu. :)
Fundamentals:
-breathing
>using mouth and nose.
>breathe to the back of your throat.
>mouth open to the vowel "A"
-posture
>standing with legs shoulder width apart
>one leg slightly in front of another.
>sit on only ont htord of th chair.
>spine straight.
-singing
>using diaphragm (esp. when you're reaching for high notes.)
>note the dynamics.
>mouth shape. all vowels.
that should be all i can think of currrenetly.
DISCIPLINE
as i have mentioned, you discipline is getting worse. we do not do not want to lecture you everytime we have choir practice and we do want to make choir enjoyable. so please cooperate. when we start our sessions, we want silence. please do have the basic mutual respect. when someones talking in front, give him/her your attention. no matter who is talking in front, the conductor, the teacher i.c., or the committee.
respect is not just about giving him your attention. but please be aware of what you say. you may think that it is just a joke, but please think before anything come out from your mouth. i do not want to harangue you guys with all the basi values and stuffs.
REminder:
rmb the ground rules mr wong set for us. be punctual and your attendance is very important. choir seems to improve quite a lot in terms of singing. nbut let us work on our discipline also.

hello!! take note of all the links to the various videos and go see see learn learn sing sing and hopefully we will learn the song by this week(:
as you all already know, the practices will be moved back to every mondays and tuesdays. apologise to those that have postpone your events on every tuesdays. as what our conductor, mr wong, promised, it will be our last amendment.
mondays: 3.30pm to 6.00pm
thursday: 3.00pm to 6.00pm (report in full pe attire)
our upcoming event will be a performance in school during the chinese new year celebration.
so hopefully we get to impress the school with our "thin water long flow" direct translation to english. :D
also, we would also be happy if our seniors can come visit us during chinese new year. but not to forget to get them to get ready their hong baos. (:
as for the malay members who couldn't get to perform during chinese new year, don;t worry as you get to enjoy our show.(:

hello people! :D
hope you all have enjoyed yourselves during the cca exhibition, some of you all have done a wonderful job (: thanks so much, we appreciated! xD
remember to drink lots of water, since we shouted so loudly x.x
for the sec 1s audition in the morning, we had a total of 68 people that can sing quite well! 29 of them are BOYS, while 39 are the GIRLS :D woots!~
for those who didn't come for the last few practices, choir practices will no longer be Monday and Thursday :O it'll be on every Tuesdays and Thursday!
and our new conductor will be..*drum roll* MR WONG ;DD so please do cooperate with him, give him the basic respect too.
and for the sec 3s, we'll be observing you all, as you all should already know that, some of you guys will be chosen to be the next batch of committee :)
Practice time, for Tuesday, will be from 3.30pm to 6pm, but as for thursday, it'll be from 3pm to 6pm (because of the PT - physical training). So, bring along your full pe attire on thurs and wear them before choir starts.
sec 2s, when the sec 1s become part of our choir family, you all will be officially be their seniors, so do project your voices, i'm sure you all can sing well if you all put in your 101% effort!
IMPORTANT: if you all had heard mr raj, he mentioned that morning announcements about cca stuffs will not be allowed anymore. so do frequently check the choir blog and the notice board for announcements, it'll now your responsibility to check. if we posted some important reminders, but you didn't went to see, you've no excuse to say that you didn't know about it.
anyway, don't forget to bring your usual stuffs next tuesday! see you all soon ~ :]
