1st day of sem 2!

hey! i know today practice was tiring and you guys are tired. maybe its the 1st-day-of-sch blues? :D so i shall not say further more on your commitments today
when we first started as the new commitees, we did say we want cooperation rite? by that we meant you guys responding to us. commiting to choir through participation and enthusiasium. hope to see improvements in the next practice okies?

hmm, for the 1st session of the semester, i think you guys did pretty well :) after all the 2 wks of break. you guys manage to pull off an angel sound but it was too soft to be heard :(
oh well, practice more until the next practice alright? hope to see you guys doin better, striving for our GOLD IN SYF! XD

new choir timings:
monday: 3pm - 6pm ( in p.e attire for P.T )
thursday: 3pm - 6pm
friday: 1pm - 2.30pm

nxt wk, lower sec have ISPL wk, so only have to come back on thurs at 2.45 to 6pm

hmm, rmb to study for your mini test on friday! For those who missed out, rmb to study for the things that we wrote on the board and also to study 'wings' score. we would do a mini revision before your test :) aww, we so kind!! X)

Hmm, july is this thursday, so you guys know wad you are going to do!! CHOIR FUNDS :)
hahs, this time is $1. so dont worry, all this money you are paying will ease your burden in other financial aspects! rmb the choir tee? well, we have estimated the cost and it would most properbly cos ard $20. the designs are yet to be comfimed. we would use the money you paid to choir fund to pay off some of the cost of your choir tee so you would maybe pay ard $15 or so. we would so our best to show you the designs by the end of july. and the tee would be ready by term 3 end or term 4.

so this is wad we have gathered from our term in service for the past 2 months.
sec3s:
you guys are the oldest seniors, so we expect you to be com=ntributing the most and helping your juniors. but that wasnt wad we saw! some of you are not attending choir. are not commiting to choir, some juniors are doing more than you, and y is this the case? we have been through thick and thin in choir for 3 years. we know your capability. you definitely can do better :)

sec2s:
you guys are no longer sec1s. you are seniors of the sec1s :) so we should be seeing good examples and more commitment. you are not new anymore. you have been in choir for at least 1 and half years. its only after SYF where the sec3s are goin to step down.. in these 9months time. can you at least prove yourselves to fufil the seniors wishes of doing choir proud by getting a GOLD? but on a lighter note, we can see that some f you are already trying harder than previously. thank you for that, we appreciate it :D

sec1s:
hey guys, i know its your 1st year in sec life and in damai choir. after 6 months have you guys got used to it? hope so :] hmm, most of you are already committin to choir. thank you. but there are others, it doesnt means you are out of our sight, you being at a spot that we can realy see you committin you can pretend to sing. thats cheatin. if you are not sure, just raise your hands we gladly help you :)

Whoa thats a long post. hahs. hope you get what we are trying to do. sometimes we scold you, say you or even pin point you out. hope you dont take it to heart. we are still doing our jobs. we also dont always wanna be the bad guys scolding you.. really, it pains our hearts too. we are doing our best to leave a good impression to you when we leave next year. hope that you can give us back good memories to carry when we leave damai :) like mr wong said, 9 months. it would be in a blink of an eye, then we would be preparing the SYF pieces and the costumes. hope we can create a better choir together :)

Hello!!:PThere has been some changes to the practice on Monday,there is NO PT so DO NOT WEAR PE.But choir practice will still begin at 2.45pm so you must report on time otherwise you will have to do punishments.Please remember to bring the things needed during choir and also help to pass this message to your friends in choir(just in case they did not visit the blog).

when choir resumes!

hey omg! i cant believe that i miss you guys already o.o hahs, choir is really a place for great frens to meet huh :)
hmm enough of my emotional moments. LOLS hmm, for those who missed out the last session of june holi practice of choir. Choir has changed its timing when sch reopens. choir resumes on the 1st day of sch and every monday will be P.T instead of thursday :) there will also be choir practice [ compulsary sectionals ]. throughout all the practices, attendence will be taken.

The new timing for choir is:
MON: (REPORT IN FULL P.E ATTIRE) 2.45PM - 6PM *outside music room
THURS: 3PM - 6PM *outside music room
FRIDAY: 1PM - 2.30PM *meet at choir notice board

also, rmb what you have written down on your notebook on friday and memorise them. we will be testing you on the things i have wrote on the board :)

hahs. dont forget about the song 'wings'. durin the 2 wks at least practice once when you are bored or got nothin better to do!! hahs, you guys heard the sound you created on friday, you guys really sounded like little angels comin down from heaven! however..toward the ending you became more airy and lost your focus :( then it shattered the whole angel flying down feelin.. felt like the angel crashin down ><
however, dont be disappointed. i believe that we will be able to hear that sound very soon, all we need in this receipe is you. YES YOU! to give your 101% effort and cooperate with the commitee/ SLs / Mr Wong.

last practice of june 2010

hello, this is a reminder. the choir practice this friday starts at 9am not 10am. we will be havin sectionals.

you are still required to report on time for those that will not be comin or will be late pls inform any of the commitee members, also thoses who did not come for the previous reharsal rmb to bring your evidence/letter/passport photocopy by this friday.

similarly, bring your file, waterbottle and writing materials :) sure you dont wanna keep donatin your money into choir fund after just payin it rite? :D muahahah

for those who missed out monday's practice, this is one of the new rules of choir:
(FINES)
1) forget to bring pencil/waterbottle---------> $0.50
2) forget score, each page(not paper)-------->$0.10 per page!
3) FORGET WHOLE FILE --------------------------> $2

holi practices and conclusion after day camp :)

hey all! :D

1stly i like to thank all the seniors who came back on 030610, tnks soooooooo very much! we appreciate you takin your time off and come back to visit as, especially those that graduated loong looong ago :) hahs
2ndly, thank you choir members for those who turn up for the 2 day-camp. without you guys attendin this camp, it wouldnt not have been sucessful as it is! so.. give yourselves a round of applause! x)
3rdly, thank you teachers and mr wong for guidin as through the camp and also the choir commitee for constantly stayin back and plan the programmes :)

im sure throughout this 2 days, choir bond have grown stronger, especially when you worked in your different groupins. surely everyone enjoyed the camp rite? :D

hahs, its good to rmb the fun times, but also rmb about what we have learnt during the workshops! like the phrasing of bars, the dynamics etc. rmb to practice the songs constantly so that we would not be wastin that much time durin sectionals or reharsals cos when you practice, you will rmb the song. if you dont, you will forget, then mr wong or SLs-section leaders, have to teach all over again, wastin time. im sure you guys wanna go home on time and not stay back for sectionals rite?

Also, for those who didnt turn up for the 2 practices, pls produce evidence that you were not in spore, sick or unable to attend-parents letter. we will be expecting everyone to turn up for 070610 and 110610 sessions. those without valid reasons will be dealt with punishments.

on the followin 2 sessions(7 and 11 june) pla bring the following:
1) choir file with scores
2) waterbottle
3) writing materials and notebook
4) those haven pay for june's fund but didnt go for the camp pls bring $1 for the fund and give to huishan.
5) those who haven sign the forms or handed it up, pls bring tmr and pass it to xiaopei.

next, i want responses when we ask questions. not us tokin to the wall. the responses also dont give dead dead one-'' yesssss.....'' ''noooo....'', you do it once, do it fast and do it right, you wont have to suffer the torture of reapeatin your answers over and over again.

also rmb to tag and comment on the posts, feel free to tell us anytng abt how you feel about choir or the posts. we will try our best to guve immediate replies when we see it, PLS LEAVE YOUR NAME! tnks.

last but not least, i wish to see improvements on the discipline of choir. unless you guys wanna do foot drills under the hot sun in order to understand the meanin of discipline or get a 1 hour lecture. so you decide :)

What to brin and wear!

hey, for those not sure wad to brin or wear. i did state what to brin in the previous post. and wad to wear. obvoiusly sch attire and shoes, i would suggest, pe attire or choir tee-this is for all choir sessions. advised to brin extra clothings and slippers if you wanna bathe-only for 3rd june

tip, there will be performances by you guys, you are advised to discuss the props and sequences of your skit/dance with your group members-you will know your groupin on 2nd june. If you want to play songs while you are performin, pls inform the commitee abt it and if possible pass us the song title and artist. You will be given ample time for preparation, its up to you if you want your group to meet up earlier on the 2nd day to reherse. however, you are still required to report on time. any latecomers without valid reasons will bear the consequences. tnks :)

2nd june:
(there is water games, but might not be wet)
-report at 9am outside music room. Do not wear uniform as you will be playin games.
-bring your file, writin materials, waterbottle, notebook, $5 for choir fund and if you want, extra clothins to change out.
-you will be released by 4pm
-get plenty of rest and drink more water to hydrate yourself :) and prepare for the next day.

3rd june:
(there will be water games, definitely get wet)
-report at 10am at the choir notice board. do not wear uniform as you will be playin games at the later part of the day.
-bring your file, writin materials, waterbottle,, notebook, extra clothins, and if you want brin slippers/toiletries-shampoo, bath, towels, comb etc/ jacket
-you will be released by 7pm.
