I know I seldom come here to talk to you guys, so here I am!!!

Hehehes, well, the committee went out last thursday to buy the sec1 orientation materials to attract them to join choir. *woots~*

So here is the video that was taken. *yeah, we're kind of making this blog look lively*

And yeah, today's singing wasn't so bad.

But Alto 1, you got to buck up. :D *jiayous*

Alto 2, doing great, but you guys must still sing out even if I am not singing. :D:D

Jiayous, I seriously believe our choir has the potential. :D:D

All you got to do is sing it out loud.

Mistakes are inevitable.

Gandhi once said: A person who never made any mistakes has never tried anything new.

Hence, making mistakes when learning how to sing a new song are just part and parcels of learning.

BUT, after awhile, you got to learn from the mistakes and perfect them. :D

That's how we improve.

hiies! teachers' day celebration was awesome.

i would like to thank the sec2s whom planned such an awesome mini-party, and im sure the teachers and choir enjoyed it :) the teachers that were blinded folded, looks like this:

yes, apparently they were reluctant to tie but.. for the sake of choir, they TIED! woots~

welll.. followin that, they entered the music room, like blind mices, and the were.. touched i guess :) the sec2s then carried out some games, for interaction between the choir and teachers for them to know each other better, such as impersination and guess the person in the picture :) shortly after that, the Com'10 gave out party food and the presents for the teachers. YAY. And soon after that we did some mini-warm ups. we sounded okay. hehe.

one thing i would like to emphasize on. is your self-discipline. you guys should go and read 2009's archives. that was how harsh/strict the seniors were with us. but we nvr had any grudges or felt unhappy and start whinning or complaining abt them. the reason is simple, becos we knew we were in the wrong and we were felt guilty. the seniors then, even they often shout at us, but we still respect them and look up to them as our role models. however, compared to the seniors now, we believe that scolding isnt the best option. we cut down on our scoldings, we try to make choir enjoyable, so pls appreciate it. all your P.T games, the prizes, camps, they didnt poof out like daisies. the seniors had to meet up meetings after meetings to plan for you guys. and wad we saw on thurs wasnt wad we expected. even without sharleen, jodi, or belvy, you guys didnt cooperate with the rest of the com. some of us are soft spoken, since you know that, when we are giving out instructions, shouldnt you be silent and listen attentively? instead of complaining that you cant hear us? and when we give out instructions, some of you even oppose our decisions and refused to follow instructions. such simple things could be done within a short timing, but becos of some ppl, the choir as a whole wasted precious time. you guys reflect. and read joceline's post below..

Hello, this is your one and only DM here! Ahaha though generations no one have yet to take this position so.. Ahahaha! Yeah ok I'm being very crappy. Many of you might not know who am I but I do not care. I just wish to make my stand!

I hope you guys would cooperate with the committees. Seriously I think they're awesome enough to get the respect they should get in Choir. All the scoldings, reminding, nagging and everything, there's a reason. The common aim is just to improve you guys. And that should be your aim too, to improve yourselves. As well as for the seniors! They deserve some respect too!

As for the seniors I hope you guys are behaving yourselves too. Quite sucky to see you guys not behaving because this shouldn't be the way at all.

I lost my talent of nagging at this choir and at the same time I don't think I got the rights to comment on you guys anymore. But still I hope you guys can give your best! Afterall you will be the warrior to be sent out for the SYF :) Believe you guys can do it! Jy!

so here's the update on MONDAY'S PRACTICE:
practices would start at 3pm-5pm. there is no theory lessons! :D YAY! however, there will be mr wong's rehearsal, but it requires minimum singing. we would be doing post performances reflections and work on rhythm. and after that you're free to goooooo!!! wahaha.

like we promised, the choir from now on, is no longer going to be all singing. We are going to do loootttssss of things and create better memories together.

this thursday we would be celebrating teachers' day for our 3 very special teachers during choir. There will still be P.T, malay students dont fred, cos the games we are playing require not much physical movements :) thursday same thing, report at 3.15pm.

and there is no sectionals this friday~ triple yay :D

our performance is this sat. so i really really hope that it would be one of our good memories. and im sure it would be :D

pls refrain yourself from eating oily/spicy/fried food for these pass 2 days. also have about 8 hours of sleeps these 2 days. im sure you dont wanna go on stage lookin like a panda and yawn in the middle of the song o.o that would be soooooo embarassin. and eveyone would definitely rmb that :) hahs. sooo.. bear with it. WE HAVE COME SOOOO FAR, AND WORKED SOOO HARD. its time we show singapore wad we got! that we're not an ordinary choir :) we are the damaivoicezzzzzz! :DDD

for those asking your frens/fami to come, our performances is at 7pm at Singapore conference hall's concourse. the address you guys have to google it yourself. heh heh.

tme sectionals 1.15pm at noticeboard. would end at 3pm.

1. report 4.30pm at blk 717 void deck this sat (21 aug) in FULL UNIFORM
2. Pls wear only white shoes and white socks ( covering the ankle ball)
3. the uniform must not be shoe laced. must be tucked in. with your collar pin and sch tie.
4. GALS: pls have BLACK rubberbands, BLACK hairclips. we would give you your hairband on sat. and i dont want to see fancifulo earrings. plain simple ones. NO nailpolish... its not a fashion show. AND you skirt, must touch your knee.. not too much to ask for already. NO braclets/anklets/rings etc. pls keep it in your bags and wear it after the performances. im sure you dont want your stuffs to be.. taken away.
5. GUYS: well.. make sure your pants is white.. dont have dirty stains. shirts tucked in. hair combed neatly. yea thats all.
6. BRING ALL YOUR SCORES in black pocket file.
7. (very impt) BUY YOUR OWN DINNER. we would be only providing biscults. :) oreo!

hey!! as you guys know, today is friday the 13th! :0 freaky huh?
LOLS. ytd we had the sudden appearence of our old old seniors joceline and khee hwee! :D

Hmm, i shall go straight to the point, as you guys know, our performance is on 21st aug. meaning nxt sat :o so pls practice at home if you have the time, cos there isnt much time left. We would record your parts if possible for you :)

Another tng is that i would like to touch on y the committee is more strict/serious compared to the previous batches. Reason being:
1stly, nxt year is our SYF. We said this a lot of times, yes, our expectations are high. We are aiming for a gold. Even if its a high expectation, i believe that we are capable of achiving it. Even mr wong says we can. Its only whether we want it or not. Choir is you cca. you are part of the family. you can see.. we are a small family. With only 43 ppl. however, we are small but mighty! So just push yourself a little bit more to get your gold :D
2ndly, all batch of committee are different. im not jowin. huiyin is not hweehiang. we all have different ways to works things out, and we also have different standards of discipline and goals. every generation of committee is different. maybe by the time we are gone, you might see y we carry things out that way, but now during all the boring sessions and all the naggings and scoldings you get from us. Its only right that you feel unjustice for yourself. you might have put in effort, but there are bound to be some black sheeps that are not willing to contribute and to the extend not coming for choir.

sec2s, pls rmb to hand in the proposal by monday.
And choir starts at 2pm on monday due to the theory lessons, we would give you at least 15mins break after the lesson for you to eat etc. dont forget to bring your blue files and your forms! :) dont forget about the surprise spot checks.

lastly, i really appreciate committed members. you can let us know your feedback about anything related to choir and we will do our best to sort things out :) We promise to have more fun and games after this performance and also lesser hours of singing! Im sure you guys look forward to that :D yipee! cya

hey! today performance was great even though we all know that the hall is not the best place to sing in.. i understand that the piano recording could not be heard, and the mike was soft. but WE DID OUR BEST :) *claps*

You should know that cca points are as important as studies. moreover, the sec2 and 3, you have already obtained SO MANY POINTS IN CHOIR. are you goin to just quit and lose all this points?? Do you know that cca points can be considered as a subject in o'lv and you can deduct points in your L1R5 to go to a better school?? .. rmb that your choices/actions has consequences. YOU will be responsible for your choices.

Hello!Hows the practising of the song?I hope you guys have already started to memorise the national day songs.The performance is just this friday so,I hope that you all will give your best in the National Day rehearsal this wednesday,3pm at the school hall.I know that its very difficult to sing in open spaces like the hall but just try your best to sing out more,show your facial expression and stand up straight.It'll be very boring to listen to people singing without any facial expression.Oh yeah,remember that on Friday you guys need to report at 7.15am,DO NoT report to the parade square for morning assembly,just go straight to the music room.There will be time given for you to change into your red/white tee.:DPlease try to take care of your health and do not fall sick especially since there will be a lot of performances coming up:)

-Rmb to practice the 2 songs and wad you have learnt in sectionals and rehearsals! :) and memorise the 2 songs well!

-Tmr there will be theory lessons every monday from 2pm to 3.45pm, you will be given a break from 3.45 to 4pm :) then 4pm to 6pm we are havin rehearsals. And there will be P.t on thurs from 3pm to 4pm, 4pm to 6pm is rehearsal :)

-Also this friday there is no sectionals! YAY :)

-The choir tee is ready and.. we would give it to you earliest by 3rd wk of august :) DOUBLE YAY! and the shirts looks awesome! TRIPLE YAY! x)

-Next, the choir camp would most probably be on the wk of 22nd nov-26th nov. The camp is either 3D2N or 2D1N. would imform and update again when date is nearing :) plsplspls make yourself for the camp cos.. its 100 times more FUN the the june camp!!! :D

-I just want you guys to know that WE ARE AWESOME AND WE ARE THE BEST!
so give your best for evey performance and WOW the crowd! :)

-There might be National day rehearsal this wednesday, so try to to make it. cos its the ONLY rehearsal we can get.
