come on guys, dont be too sad. its not the amount of sec1s we expected cos there is lesser class this year rmb? nevertheless, continue to attact the sec1s into choir. and especially the sec2 and 3 batch too! contiune finding people without cca, and ask then to come in choir to try out, and see if they like it or not before considering joining choir :)

remember to be on your best behavior on monday. in fact from now onwards. you guys heard ms lee lay har, performing arts cca are disciplined people. you guys have to live up to that. maintaining self-discipline at all times. know when to talk, when to stop. know what to say, what not to say. know what to do, what not to do.
hmph, also dont forget that your audition is this thurs. you are supposed to memorise the wind and butterfly already! so practice. the more you practice, the faster you are able to memorise the songs. also rmb the 5 points belvy taught you guys. dont forget! :)
just a sneak info, those that knows the song grenade, pls teach the other choir members that doesnt know it on monday morning. we will be singing it with the sec1s on monday. but still bring your scores for the wind and butterfly, we will sing after the leave.
hmm. dont scare the sec1s on monday. dont scream. i repeat. DONT SCREAM. its their 1st session, and we dont want to scare them away to the extend they quit choir the next day right?

Congrats to those people who passed the mini audition! :D Well, those people who failed, do not be discouraged because you still have time to improve! Anyway, if you wish to get the Choir File, you know you MUST perform much better and show us what you've got! SYF is approx. 13 weeks more. It's really really fast. So, PLEASE (I'm begging you all) to turn up for ALL practices. No point skipping. You want your CCA points, you BETTER COME.!!!! Choir isn't very big, so everyone is veryveryveryvery important!!
CHOIR STARTS AT 3.15PM ON THURSDAY. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL.

Hello,how is your weekend going,take care of your health because there are more and more people falling sick.I would like to thank the Sec 4s and 5 for handing in the choir fund on time,the rest of the levels,please learn from them,we do not like to chase after you guys like loan sharks.Those who have yet to pay this month choir funds,$2,please pass it to Hui Shan on Monday.In case you guys forget the rules that Mr Wong said last week,I will repeat it for you.
RULES:
1.No score,pay 10 cents per page,the money will go to the choir fund.
2.No water bottle/Water bottle without any water,pay 50 cents,money goes the choir fund.
3.Late without valid reason,pay 1 dollar and for guys:push ups +1 round of running around the parade square,for girls:sit ups =1 round of running around the parade square.
4.No pencil,pay 50 cents,money goes to the choir fund.
5.Going to the toilet during pract.,pay 50 cents,money goes to the choir fund.(So please remember to go to the toilet before pract.)

Hope that you guys will abide by the rules so that you will not have to pay any of the fines.Anyways,after a whole week of studying,go and enjoy yourselves.Have fun with your weekend:)

So we have to work hard. :D

The wind is pretty awesome.
Especially after the "breeze" part comes the slow part because its ending.
It gives the impression of the wind, dying down soon.
And then when you end off, it gives the gentle yet powerful feeling.
I mean, that's what I feel la. :D
You guys may have different interpretations of the songs. :D
Also, butterfly is really sweet.
The last part is pretty tricky so work harder on it. :D

well, im pleased with the attendance so far, but it stilll needs improvement! especially those who have not been coming since school started. you know who you are. dont make us call your parents or visit your class.

ALSO! today you guys sang awesomely keep up the good work! but dont let the compliment get into your head and forget to practice at home okay? especially the dynamics, body language and vowels!

on monday, pls be in PE ATTIRE outside the music room at 3.15pm. there will be short P.T to train your stamina. those not in P.E attire take a look at the rules and regulation.
we will end choir as early as 5.30pm IF ONLY you guys prove that you have self-discipline and put in effort in singing. :) there will be a mini audition on monday. so brace yourself. there would be 3 stations or levels you have to pass-dynamics, vowels, posture. if you fail 2 or more. you have to stay back after choir to practice with us. im sure you guys dont want it right? hahah

so remember, be in PE ATTIRE and bring the necessary items, outside the music room at 3.15pm. CYA AWESOME PEOPLE :)

ok, i shall stop writing in caps. hahahah hmm, well today sectionals' was not too bad. you guys were loud. except sop2! :( wad happen during the past 1wk?! how come you guys forgot the notes, sang sharp and like lost your voice/became softer? hmph. continue practicing ah~ i know you guys can acheive our target~

A few things to take note is:
1) even thought cca exhibition is over, i still need you guys to advertise choir in your daily life. if you guys do not know, min entry for a SYF is 25 people. the choir have about 45 ppl right now. if we estimate 15 sec1s that enters choir, that would only be 60. and wad if out of 60 only half passed the auditions? the would leave us with 30! so this links to you being committed to choir and practice your songs! :) ask your classmates/frens without cca to join choir. we can give them a trial lesson to let them consider before deciding. its not a problem, just talk to us!
2) CHOIR FUNDS! ppl who have not paid pls own up-except new members! its $2 so pay on time, so huishan dont have to chase you!
3) Also those ppl that have not been frequently coming for choir do take note. during this 4 months is the crucial period so if you do not come for sessions without valid reasons you not be choosen for SYF, meaning no cca points. im sure you guys worked so hard all this while, and dont want your effort to go down to waste rite? :)
4) PRACTICE YOUR SCORES~ :D

yea that should be all.. OH WAIT! *DRUMS ROLLS* THE CHOIR WOULD LIKE TO CONGRAT RACHEL-WHO GOT 8 DISTINCTION FOR O'LV!, HWEEHIANG, KARYEO-WHO GOT 7 DISTINCTIONS FOR O'LV!, AND JOEWIN WITH 5 DISTINCTIONS! (i think) hahha! congrats seniors! you did choir proud! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!Hello people,this is the first choir post for the new year:)Please remember to be outside the music room at 1.30pm sharp,in your choir tee or P.E T-shirt for the new members because we need to prepare a lot of things for the sec one exhibition.You guys can be as hyper as you want during the exhibition(for once you are allowed to make as much noise as you want:P).Try to approach as many people as you can,even if some of them do not seem interested just continue to talk to them and introduce them about choir.Approach their parents too,most of them would listen to their parents so please give their parents a good impression of choir and introduce to them about choir.Lets all put our best efforts to recruit as many sec 1 members,but most of all,have fun and enjoy yourselves.
