PRACTICE WITH DYNAMICS AND DETAILS!! its really impt that we make this a very awesome performance! :) its the last singing performance tt you juniors are gonna have with the seniors. :( yea....so i only have like one request....pls make this a memorable singing experience for the seniors ok???? cooperate with us on thurs alright :)
now here are some things to take note for the lunch time concert this thursday (29/3):
- No freid food and chilli from today!!! yes....today!!!
- just bring yell and hear the music scores :) dont need to bring the whole file
-bring your heels this thursday.don worry,we are not gonna wear it for the lunch time      concert.just   need to hand it up to the com :)
-there is REAUDITION on thurs for those who didnt audition or failed it.

Yo choir! Syafiqah here again

Today's session was fairly good and fairly bad... Basically what i mean is that your discipline have NOT been improving since our first session this year. It SUCK so far. yeah... You all were very chatty today. Is there something interesting to talk about? If yes, then share with the whole choir ah since it's much more important to talk about. I'll make you talk in front of the whole choir. You think i enjoy scolding and repeating the same boring line ah!?! It's so frustating. I may not have scolded you today but you should have the basic courtesy and respect. When i say keep quiet, you freaking shut your freaking mouth! Dont test my patience. You want respect, you jolly well shut up and respect for the person talking at the front. Just now when mr wong was conducting, from where i sit, i can hear people murmuring. Plus mr wong had to get your attention to focus. Stop wasting anymore time! We only left with 1 more practice for the lunchtime concert. 1 MORE PRACTICE EH! Its not a joking matter. Im sure you dont want to humiliate yourself in front of your fellow friends.

Secondly, please go practice your songs with dynamics. For some of you who dont know what is that, well it means the loudness. When you look through your scores, you will notice that there are p, mp, mf and f. p means soft; mp means moderately soft; mf  means moderately loud and f means loud. Also take note of the correct posture when singing. Basically just refer back to your notebook. Study the notes that you have written down in your notebook cos there will be a quiz on it on mon. Oh, and also memorise the words for the songs including the dynamics and etc.

As for the speech day, there will be 2 rehearsals: 5th april and 12th april @ 3.30pm. On the 12th, its a full dress rehearsal. So please write down the following on your diary or whatever:

1) Yellow dress
2) Safety shorts (any black short shorts
3) Black heels

This are the things that you hae to bring on 9th april (mon). As for Kay Seng, bring your shirt, pants, yellow tie and shoes. DONT FORGET TO BRING!!! SAY IT OUT LOUD 10 TIMES!!! REMEMBER TO PRACTICE!! SING THE SONGS WHEN YOURE SHITTING OR DO WHATEVER, JUST SING!! OKAY?!? AND TAG SYAFIQAH ROCKS!! hehehe...

Dear choir, I know i am annoying cause im always scolding you guys xD, but if i dont , choir will be in a state of chaos . So, bear with me FOR THE FUTURE OF CHOIR. im stepping down soon so, you will hear me less often soon enough :) and miss my annoying voice >:p

To start things off , gentle reminder: practice yell especially the parts we are weak at. Every one of you makes a difference! Dont rely on others! Be the difference! Dont skip some parts cause you find it hard. Best way to overcome fear is to face it head on!! Memoriae the words by monday! Though needless to say itld come naturally if you sing the song enough. Also, practice your dance moves!! Oh p/s performance for yell is next thursday we only have 2 practices left to brush up( NOTICE: BRUSH UP NOT RELEARN)

Im not happy with todays discipline at all . I enjoy my last few practices with choir better when things run smoothly :/ so be nice okie!! I wish to see better self control next monday!! OR YOULL SEE MAD WOMEN SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS!!! >:D

(is it? :3 ) and you guys are so .... not stable. even i, myself have to go home and practice and PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT and only if you PRACTICE you guys will succeed, our performance, our dance will succeed and so we will not embarrass ourselves. SO PRACTICE, OR YOU TAKE OUT YOUR SHOE AND LICK IT! :3  that 'YELL' song is in my head!!

anyway we took a really long time ( hmm 2hrs? my feet was killing me) to MASTER the last part of YELL. with all that long hours of standing. i wanted to yell. this song is really hard, i know, whatever the case is, we officially finished learning this song!! YAY! despite the long hours and mr wong's patience. 

3. attendance!
those people who didn't come for choir please ask them to come and they're missing out so much stuff! oh. if you guys didn't come for choir, you guys must produce an Medical Certificate. or you can sit and not sing during choir. but you guys must still pay attention to whatever that we're conducting and write down notes and stuff. and if you're not feeling well, inform us the committee. and the Committee will inform us.   

4. DISCIPLINE!!!

just because we didnt say anything about it or PUNISH you guys with it, doesnt mean we dont care. to be honest, we've been controlling and giving people chances to not give you guys punishments. some of you are already under our black list. we tell you guys so many times to talk softly and talk at the right time. for example, during the dance practice today. you guys were really rowdy!! if you guys dont know your position, not so sure of the dance, RAISE UP YOUR HAND AND ASK. basic manners! and wait until we've asked you to say then you say. because some of you raise up your hand already then straight away say! like a canon!  


okay it will be more frustrating when you guys just follow blindly while dancing and disrupt the practice. so ask = save time = longer breaks and stuff. and for those who maintained self discipline, good job. its not that we don't let you talk, is that you guys makes so much noise while doing so. there's a limit to everything. its okay that you guys have fun. just control yourself okay  :)

Today's Session
The dance was well done .I could see the new learners putting effort in it .Practice at home guys!! The lyrics are also printed out for a purpose .During the performance we are expected to SING OUR HEARTS OUT. Dont throw that piece of paper away,its a score ,without notes.Download the song in your ipods and phones and sing to it :) Remember there are auditions!!

If only you guys put the same amount of effort in the dancing into your singing .We have are practicing this song for a performance.We want to do our best for it,dont we? We're almost done with the song woohoo~
Lastly,omg you little bimbos are crazily noisy today.We cant keep yelling for you guys to shut up you are not little kids anymore! I know I havent been calling people up to write lines for excessive talking but it looks like we need to do it again right ?

Hello choir! This is Jiaqi here. :)

Today's session was pretty fruitful cause we have managed to brush up a lot on part A2 and familiarize ourselves with part D. :D Which is good! Even though we had to repeat it many times but at least, we manage to get it in the end. Don't you feel a sense of accomplishment? xD hahaha. That's the result of good cooperation with us. Since we have known the notes now, please practice this song especially on parts A2 and D. And of course, the rest of the parts too since you won't want to forget them after practicing so hard.

Discipline for today was quite alright too. It is good to see you all having the sense of urgency and gathering on time :) However, all of you need to know when to speak and be quiet at the correct times. Speaking when the other sections are learning their parts is not acceptable. Remember that when you are learning your parts, you would want to be able to listen to the piano and not people chattering away. This is a point that we have been emphasizing a lot, and I don't think you guys like it when we keep on repeating it. So please improve on this aspect.

Also, during the game session today, it is great to see all of you participating it with much enthusiasm :D We hope that you had enjoyed the few games that we had planned for the previous and this practice. ^^ The next game session will be conducted by the sec1s, which will take place on the March holidays' Monday practice! Let's all look forward to it~~ Yayyyyy~~ :)

For the entire choir, please remember to complete homework that Mr Wong has given to you on Friday!  You have a week to do it, so I don't think it is any excuse to not have it done by next Monday. Please bring your notebooks on the next practice!

Sec1s: Please gather outside the AV theater at 2.30 on Wednesday! :)

Hey choir , yinita here ! hmm , how did you guys think you did ? Not good right ? Not even close . Do you really want us to keep scolding you all the time ? I bet not . We dont like it either . And i guess Mr Wong had finally had enough of 'closing one eye' . He does notice that the choir talks , alot . And dont you think its disrespectful to be talking away when someone else is talking . Respect people . Even if they're not talking to your section , you still have to be quiet so its not distracting for the person talking and the other section listening . We're not expecting you to completely shut up , but we want a MINIMUM noise level . Mr Wong finally reprimanded sopranos right ? For talking so much when he is teaching the altos . Its already bad enough that the committee need to remind you to stop talking too much and Mr Wong had to add into this . 


As for your singing , it sounds rather dead . It doesnt sound like you sang with technique . You guys heard that he wanted to give up on this song . Do you want that ? Afterall we're halfway there . All you need is a little more effort and determination . Don't give up just yet Choir . I know we can do this . Prove to him that we can manage this . Cos if you don't , think about all the practices wasted on this song . You don't want it to go to waste right ? Might as well , complete this 'race' . 


Hi altos ! we're really working very hard on you . Trying to help you . But there would'nt be any improvement if you don't help yourselves . We need two hands to clap . You're better than this altos . Just open your little mouth and sing . Its okay to make mistakes , just learn from it (: 


Lastly , i hope you enjoyed the mini games and paid attention to what Mrs Ang had said . Everybody has tough times , but you have to get over them and make it enjoyable for yourselves . There's choir next monday , please continue to be regular in your attendance and make sure you guys practice and show us that we can do it ! Dont forget to tag . C ya .
