wassup everybody!!!!! how is your holidays?? and oh good news, there is choir tomorrow (last choir of 2014) yay? 

ok long time no see, so tmrw choir will be from 9:30am - 1:30pm most likely @ the AV THEATRE!!!! & i guess u guys didnt take out your scores for about one month already soooooooooooooooooo i think you guys know what to do now or later (come on just for 10 mins) 

bring your scores [shule aroon, malay song(i still dont know what is that song called) & will you teach me(just in case)], pencil & water bottle tmrw!!!!!!!!!! 

make sure everyone of you appear tomorrow i tell u (unless still overseas or other valid reasons thx) dont give excuses ok oh & dont be late!!! *sorry committees will also try not to be late* and also if you overslept, still have to come idc :-)

hello choir!!!! our so called "day camp" is finally here!!!!!! woooooooo \(^o^)/ excited?? 

ok so what you guys need to bring are: 

• extra clothes (approved) + undergarments 

• slippers (optional) 

• plastic bags to store your wet clothes

• towel

**pls wear a dark coloured shirt when u come & wear covered shoes here & only PE pants or FBT pants (not that short k)** 

Pls meet us @ the CANTEEN: 9am - 6pm

Dont be late & pls pls pls come!! Dont miss out this fun day for choir i suppose!! Many many many games & lunch will be provided!! So dont worry yay!! PLS PARTICIPATE IN ALL GAMES TY :-D Dont have to bring your scores!! & i want to see EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU GUYS TMRW OK except those who really really got super duper valid reason which is a few of you & those who can come pls dont last minute tell me you cant come :-) & dont oversleep ok i tell u and also if any questions to ask or whatever just ask in the choir group or pm one of the committees but no stupid questions allowed (eg. WOOOOO CHOIR YAY ARE YOU GUYS EXCITED FOR FRIDAY!!!! IT'S SO RARE THAT WE WILL BE HAVING WATER ACTIVITIES ON FRIDAY!!! ONCE IN A LIFETIME!!! SO PLS NOTE WHAT TO BRING!!! IF YOU FORGET BRING THEN JIALAT YOUR OWN PROBLEM. AND THIS WATER ACTIVITIES IS COMPULSORY DONT SAY THAT U DONT WANT PLAY THEN DONT COME. NO WE WILL HAUNT YOU DOWN IF YOU DONT ATTEND THIS LAST SESSION WITHOUT VALID REASON. 

so basically the first thing we're going to do tmrw is going through the "will you teach me" score so we're just going to go through the important things to note down line by line :-) & ur notebook pls we will be checking ur notebook so pls bring & make sure u all wrote the choir rules down ty

so after going through the score, we will continue with our water games!!! the location we will be playing at depends ok so wherever we bring you guys just follow :-)  And this are the things you guys have to bring!!!!! >> 
1. EXTRA SHIRT (must be school based) 
2. EXTRA PANTS
3. EXTRA BRA (for girls & when we play the water games pls dont wear white if not ya) 
4. EXTRA UNDERWEAR 
5. SLIPPERS (but if u choose to be barefooted then) 
6. TOWEL (optional) 
IF YOU DONT BRING EXTRA SHIRT OR PANTS THEN TOO BAD IM SAD TO SAY THAT U HAVE TO WATCH US PLAY but if u dont mind get wet and going home wet then ok ;) and note that u will drench like freaking wet!! 

THERE WILL BE ALOT OF KIND OF DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES AND YOU ALL WILL BE SPLIT IN GROUPS SO WHATEVER GROUP U ALL ARE ASSIGN IN THEN BE IN THAT GROUP DONT COMPLAIN BC WE NEED TO BOND MORE AND JUST HAVE FUN!!! WINNING TEAM WILL WIN SOMETHING ;-)

    There will be dinner provided tommorrow. The rehearsal is about 430 to 10++ SO REMEMBER TO INFORM YOUR PARENTS.  Remember to be energetic when you sing tommorrow , enter and leave the stage as quickly as possible in a orderly manner and remember to sing with your legs shoulder width apart !!!  Remember when you are in the holding room(BACKSTAGE ) please be quiet !!! Practice the song and memorize it !! And also remember to look at the conductor and remember what Mr wong said .

hi choir!!!!!!

so choir practice tomorrow as per normal ( 2pm - 6pm ), bring your usual stuffs + a notebook in case there's theory. today attendance is really really bad but do try your best to make it okay!! ask those friends who didnt come today to come ok, we dont want mr wong to get angry :) IF YOU REALLY CANNOT MAKE IT, DO PROVIDE MC OR PARENT LETTER & TELL ME OKAY !! yeah, many of you guys are sick due to the bad weather, we can understand that hahaha rest well and drink more water!! 

HOMEWORK: 
write the sophage for the "Will You Teach Me?" from bar 33 onwards to the end of the song. please do it as mr wong will be checking tomorrow & for those who didnt come today, please please please come tomorrow as you will have quite a lot of things to catch up on. 

as for tomorrow, please listen to what mr wong say about your singing more often okay and keep it up on your discipline today!!

So, Since I just Step up I'm telling you guys that Monday's Disclipline can be improve~
In case you miss out the Choir Rules that I mention on Monday, here are the rules.


1. Do not be late ( first time will be a warning, subsequently it will be 1 round for each time you are late)
2.Never bring things fifty cents each
3.Respect everyone in Choir
4.After three warnings of talking each practice, run 1 round.
5.Do not be late without valid reasons and must tell the committee before hand. (Tell huiyi first, if cannot find her then approach the other committee)
6. When Sick, MC must be produce, Letters will only be acceptable if family matters. If going overseas, passport must be printed
7. Phones must be given to us before the practice, if not given and we caught you using it, it will be double the punishment.


Although there won't be any choir practice tomorrow but there will be rehearsal at the HALL at 10.30am. PLEASE do not be LATE~ Bring your files(in case) and submit your holiday consent form to Ziwei~

Hello choir 

There is choir practice tomorrow as usual. 3pm for the junior choir and 330 pm for the rest of the choir. I really really hope to see some improvement from Friday. Your behaviour was unacceptable although I really appreciate the effort that you he put in although it was a short performance. Have some self- discipline and control as well as know when is the right time to talk and when to keep quiet.
I'm pretty sure you're sick and tired of us repeating the same things all over again. So please behave tomorrow.

Okay. This blogpost is one of the most important of this year. Please remind your friends to read ALL of this, cos I need you take note of maany extremely important things. 

So guys, this is concert is suppose to be one of your highlights of the year. If you guys want it to be memorable, practise! Your singing today was clearly, bad, and it showed, that most of you haven't memorized what you're supposed to! Please please please, look through your score, sing once or twice once occasionally. Remember all the key things like your phrasing and breath points. Today you guys couldn't even sing the right notes, for songs we've been singing for months and it was very disappointing. So go take a look at your score in this 24 hours plus you have left! It's not too late yet!

Okay your special item today was alright! I'll give you guys 4/5! Keep practising because you guys can totally do better, and you know you can! Memorise all those parts you're singing CORRECTLY. And and your steps ofcourse, have to be coordinated. You guys can do it, I've seen all of you almost there, which is really really good. I know, we just learnt these steps and songs but like I said, whether you like it or not, we are still going to perform that item so give your bessst!

On Sunday, 6th April 2014 be in your PE attire (shorts) at 1PM under block 717

Bring all these required items :

Performance outfit - please wash and iron nicely, before using a hanger to carry it around on that day.
Girls, don't forget the golden sash!

Special Item outfit - bring the dresses/skirts+top of the colour your group will be wearing, and again, ensure it's ironed nicely.

Shoes - For the boys just bring your black pair of shoes that has been approved. Girls are to bring your heels and flat(colour that matches your outfit) that can be worn when we meet.

For those who are wearing glasses, try to wear contact lense instead. If you're not able to, it's all right.

For the girls, try your best to not tie your hair when we meet.

Others - 
1) safety pins
2) plasters (must!)
3) bobby pins for girls
4) money for food (about $10) or
5) food for dinner
6) water bottle

Please avoid eating fried and super spicy food, titbits and consuming anything that you know you shouldn't. It's for your own good, none of us wants to practise for months only to lose your voice that day! And on Sunday itself, I do NOT want to hear you talk loudly. 1 round for 1 time you do that. You need to conserve your voice! I do not want to see any of you misbehaving, taking your own sweet time and complaining. You all know, others are watching you, and you're representing Damai choir! So be disciplined and when your friend does something wrong, TELL THEM TO STOP.

Lastly, on stage it self, SMILE. Sing like you love it. Ofcourse for the songs that are not fast, you don't do that. Express yourself! Tell the story of the piece. This is quite a rare chance you know, to be able to showcase your talent to the public. You all have the potential to sing well, so do it! Do not move around too because everyone, will be watching you! When you walk, look straight and be confident. Look graceful. 

For the special item, HANDS STRAIGHT, PAY ATTENTION AND FOLLOW THE MUSIC. Have fun and it'll all be all right. (:

Hello choir, your discipline on Monday was really really bad. I know most of you were really tired on Monday but everyone is tired too. We just have to sacrifice a little more so that we can put up a brilliant performance on Sunday! You won't want to be a joke on stage right? So please, give it your all! 

There's practice tomorrow. As usual, it will start at 2 and we will end latest by 430 or 445. Please please come as this will be OUR LAST PRACTICE BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE ON SUNDAY.  I expect full attendance from the people who will be performing. Okay so there are many important posts coming up for this week as our concert is just next WEEEK!!!!

Okay so first and foremost please bring the unsold concert tickets and money for the concert ticket tomorrow as Ms phong will be collecting the money from you. For those who cannot sell any, pass your ticket back to the committee members and we will hand it over to those who need more ticket. So please please please REMEMBER TO BRING THE CONCERT TICKET MONEY AND ALL UNSOLD TICKETS!!

The next important thing is please bring the DRESS/SKIRT+SHIRT YOU WILL BE USING FOR THE SPECIAL ITEM SO THAT WE CAN CHECK IF IT'S ALRIGHT.  The boys, you will be using the all black attire so you don't need to worry about changing. For the girls, you will be using any flats of your choice which you think suits your dress best. If you are unsure, you may use dark coloured flats to be safe. 

Please MEMORISE ALL THE SONGS WE WILL BE SINGING FOR THE CONCERT BY TOMORROW!!!! You would now want to see Mr Wong getting angry do you? Please show some urgency and listen when anyone is giving instructions.!

1) please bring your black gowns for those who have it on Friday, 28/03/2014. 
2) for the sec 1s please bring $25 on Friday as you will be buying the heels for the concert after choir practice 

Most of you are curious about the dress code for the special item so here's te finalise details. You're only allowed to wear either a dress or skirt for special item. Different groups will be using a different colour.

Choir practice will be as per normal tomorrow Monday 24/03/2014. Junior choir will be at 3 and the rest of choir 330pm. 
Please please memorise the songs by tomorrow. For the seniors : like a rainbow, diraiton and the Jap song. All of the choir : like a rainbow,hear the music, song of Disney princess and your special item songs. 

Those who did not attend the holiday practices, I expect you to pass me a parent letter or the photocopy of the passport page if you went overseas. If you fail to do so, you will have to talk to the teachers about it. Don't be late and see you tomorrow!

Practice at BEDOK TOWN!

Hello choir 

As you know, our next choir practice will be at Bedok Town Secondary school. For those who don't know how to get there, read this blog post carefully and remember the details. 

Since the practice starts at 9, for those who don't know how to get there, meet at Bedok Temporary Interchange at 820am. We will have a 10 minutes buffer time to wait for those who can't make it on time. After 830am, we will board the first bus that comes. WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR THOSE WHO ARE LATE.  Meet at Berth 3 where there's the bus 228 and 225. We will be taking bus 225G  to Bedok town secondary. It is approximately 3 stops and roughly a 20 mins journey inclusive of walking time.

Please wear your choir tee with skirt/ shorts and for those who don't have the choir tee, half uniform (pe & skirt/short ). Please put on your best behaviour as other schools will be there and they will be watching you. You do not want to embarrass yourself do you?  Please try to memorise the Disney princess song so that you do not need to always refer to the scores when you're singing with the other schools.

here are some of the details to take note. Please sign the holiday practice form by Monday. Please pass the form to either me or Renee on Monday. As you know, this Monday we will have a combine rehearsal with band but this time round, the HODs will be watching. So i expect you to put on your best behavior and listen to Mr Wong, the committee or anyone who is speaking. 

I've heard feed backs from some band members and they mentioned that the choir was really chatty. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. There is a right place and right time for everything. So please behave yourselves on Monday when the HODs are watching.

Practice will be as usual. report at 3pm for junior choir and 330pm for the rest of the choir. Be punctual and don't be late.

As most of you know, there is a combine rehearsal with band on Monday, 03/03/2014 for the 20th anniversary song When you believe. So i would like you to please rehearse by yourself at home so that you won't make a fool out of yourself on Monday.

Practice will be at 3pm for Junior Choir and 330pm for the rest of the choir at the AV theater.
